Jelf Insurance Brokers has appointed James Balfour as schemes account executive to work in its schemes and affinities team.

In his role, Balfour will be responsible for developing Jelf’s schemes and affinities portfolio to expand the company’s business.

Balfour will report to Rob Cockle, Jelf Insurance sales director of banking and affinity.

Cockle said, "With so much planned in the coming months for the Schemes and Affinities proposition, I am confident that James will play an essential role in helping us to raise the bar in the market and provide Jelf’s brand of personal and professional client service."

Prior to joining Jelf Insurance, Balfour worked at Towergate as senior account executive for the past seven years.

Jelf has 31 offices throughout England and Wales and employs over 1,000 people.
