Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT), a risk specialists and employee benefits consultants company, has acquired Tripol, an Oslo-based insurance broker specializing in the Real Estate and Construction business.
JLT said that the business has been acquired from the seven employee shareholders of Tripol who will all remain with the business.
The operation will be merged with JLT existing operation in Norway and will be lead by the current MD of Tripol Ola Haalien, reporting to Henrik Ryden, CEO of JLT’s Nordic region business.
JLT Continental European broking activities chairman Adrian Girling said that Tripol will add significantly to the increasingly important Nordic business activities and with their acknowledged expertise in construction and real estate they add yet more strength to the international capabilities in what are two important JLT specialisms.
