New software tool to access and analyse business intelligence information

Jackson National Life Insurance Company (Jackson) of Lansing, Michigan, has licensed CSC’s Business Analytics software to access and analyse business intelligence information from its multiple financial services systems.

Jackson intends to use the software to track key metrics and proactively address rapidly changing market conditions.

CSC introduced Business Analytics which leverages SAP BusinessObjects XI solutions, to life insurance and annuity providers, in May 2009. As per the terms of the agreement, the software will be integrated with Jackson’s current systems, including CSC’s CyberLife policy administration system and PerformancePlus, an incentive compensation management system.

George Napoles, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Jackson, said: We were looking for a solution that would extract, reconcile and present data from multiple systems throughout our organisation to help us gain greater insight into our business operations and customer actions. With CSC’s Business Analytics, we can better position ourselves to reach our strategic growth objectives.

Michael Risley, president of Life and Annuity division at CSC’s Financial Services group, said: Our long-standing relationship with Jackson extends to include yet another area – business intelligence. With this new offering tailored for life insurance and annuity firms, we help executives better manage their entire organizations by gaining an in-depth understanding of their companies’ operations, opportunities, customers and risks.

Business Analytics is part of CSC’s Insurance Optics family of business intelligence solutions to help insurers gain insight from data and drive change.
