Integro international operations president John Sutton said: "They bring a wealth of expertise, experience and relationships that will benefit Integro’s clients and prospects across the firm."

The division provides aviation hull and liability insurance with complementary surety bond products. Its customers comprise helicopter fleets, fixed wing aircraft, rolling stock manufacturers, ground handlers, fleet maintenance and product manufacturers.

Director Eddy Dawson and senior broker Andrew Forester will continue as heads of AFL aviation team and report to Integro’s global aviation practice head Terry Rolfe.

AFL managing director Bob Finch said: "We have a very positive relationship with Integro and this transaction fits perfectly with our strategy to focus on the dynamic growth of our core businesses."

Earlier this month, Odyssey Investment Partners, through its entities, signed an agreement to acquire Integro.

Established in 2005, Integro and its family of specialty insurance and reinsurance companies provide services in the US Canada, Bermuda and the UK.
