Embroker, the first modern business insurance platform designed to radically improve how companies buy and manage coverage, announced the opening of its third location in downtown Chicago in a move that will support recruiting and bring new high-tech jobs to the city.

Embroker will occupy 4,300 square feet in the historic Monroe Building at 104 South Michigan Avenue.

The newly renovated space will house as many as 35 employees, including Embroker’s COO Julie Zimmer and VP of Client Experience, Tom DeMichael. Embroker plans to hire for more than 10 new positions in the downtown Chicago location this year.

“We are excited to expand in Chicago, a city that has a long history of insurance innovation and a deep pool of talent,” said Matt Miller, CEO of Embroker.

“This third location will serve as the primary hub for our operations and sales teams as we continue to scale our platform that simplifies the experience of buying and managing policies for all kinds of growing businesses.”

Embroker, which is headquartered out of San Francisco, and has an office in Boston, recently relocated its headquarters within San Francisco to accommodate its rapid growth. The company recently announced $12.2 million in Series A funding led by Canaan Partners.
