ING US has named Dave Swanson as senior vice president and head of employee benefits product and pricing team, in a bid to develop its business by offering latest product design and disciplined pricing.

Based in the company’s Minneapolis office, Swanson will report to Butch Britton, chief executive officer of ING US Insurance Solutions.

He will manage all actuarial aspects of product development across all the company’s employee benefits product lines, including group life, group disability, stop loss and voluntary benefits.

In order to fulfill the market demand and ensure disciplined growth of the employee benefits business, he will also work as a member of the ING US Insurance Solutions executive team.

Swanson most recently served as vice president of group protection products for Lincoln Financial Group and before that, he worked as vice president of finance and helped in the takeover of Canada Life’s US business.

Swanson started his career at CIGNA in actuarial and financial management positions and supported various businesses such as group and healthcare benefits, reinsurance and individual life.

As a provider of life insurance and medical stop loss, ING US’ Insurance Solutions business includes retail life and employee benefits segments.
