IMA, an independently owned retail insurance broker, has appointed Michael Whipps as new president of the company's Kansas City office.
In his new role, Whipps will lead IMA’s Kansas City office, which continues expanding its client base in Kansas City and the surrounding area.
Prior to joining IMA in 2011, Whipps was senior vice president and construction practice group leader for Willis of Kansas.
Whipps began his insurance career in 1981 and has served in various management roles with regional and national brokers.
IMA president Bob Reiter said Michael has proven insurance management skills and is experienced with leading insurance operations through periods of growth and expansion.
IMA offers a full range of risk management related products with six offices in Colorado, Kansas, Texas and Wisconsin.
