Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC), a provider of auto insurance services, has selected Guidewire Software's ClaimCenter solution as its new claims management system.

Guidewire said that ClaimCenter solution will help ICBC manage approximately 700,000 claims annually through its 24×7 claims contact center, its province-wide network of 38 claims centers, and through its various service providers across the province.

According to the Guidewire, the solution will allow ICBC to increase the quality of communication with its customers, capture higher quality claim information, and transparency in claim handling process.

With ClaimCenter, ICBC can quickly respond to changing customer and business partner needs and interact with customers as per customers’ choose.

Guidewire added that the electronic claim files process through ClaimCenter solution will provide ICBC with a consolidated view of customer’s claim and better collaboration amongst involved parties. The solution also streamlines claims handling capabilities for improved decision quality, consistency, and processing efficiencies.

ICBC senior vice president, Claims Craig Horton said the ClaimCenter solution will eliminate many manual processes, and allows staff to focus on serving customers.
