Independence Blue Cross (IBC) has launched 25 new health care plans for small businesses, called Blue Solutions, which will be available beginning 1 October 2010.

IBC said that the new health plans are designed for small businesses with two to 50 employees, and will be available in all health plan formats including copay, deductible, and health savings account (HSA), all along with prescription drug coverage.

The Blue Solutions will offer a solution to suit group’s needs, including a network of doctors and hospitals, prescription drug coverage, routine eye care, office visits, emergency care, hospitalization, and X-rays.

In addition, it will offer 100% coverage for designated preventive care services with no copay or coinsurance due from the member, in compliance with healthcare reform.

IBC chief marketing executive Linda Taylor said that the Blue Solutions also include the company’s healthy lifestyles reimbursement programs with $150 back per year for fitness club fees, $200 back for approved smoking cessation programs and $200 back for approved weight loss programs.
