Hylant Group, a privately owned insurance brokerage firm in US, has acquired a substantial portion of Creative Benefits Systems (CBS), an employee benefits provider in Michigan.

Hylant said that the acquisition will further solidify its position as the leading employee benefits services provider in Western Michigan.

The acquisition will expand the product range of CBC with Hylant’s employee benefits practice, as well as Hylant’s other risk and industry specialty practices, including its property and casualty expertise.

In January, three CBS principals Dale DeHaan, Jim Gilbert and Charley Schlosser, along with their staff, joined Hylant Group.

CBS former principal and current client executive at Hylant Group Dale DeHaan said the company is joining a group of extremely talented insurance professionals and look forward to sharing best practices and leveraging the collective expertise to bring added value to clients.

Hylant Group is a full-service insurance brokerage with 12 offices in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee, and employs more than 600 employees.
