HumanaOne has launched a new individual vision insurance plan to offer annual eye exams and lenses for a low copayment. The company is also expanding the plan to a number of states it had not previously served.

According to HumanaOne, the new Vision Focus Plan includes a retail frame allowance and discounts on Lasik. It is currently available online in 19 states. Another product, HumanaOne Vision Care Plan is available in an additional 18 states.

Steven DeRaleau, chief operating officer of HumanaOne, said: “We’re excited to be expanding to new areas of the country at a time when more and more people are in the market for individual health products, including vision plans. These are affordable plans for the self-employed or for people who may not have vision coverage through their employer’s group plan.”

HumanaOne, a division of Humana, offers affordable health insurance coverage to people including self-employed entrepreneurs, students, recent college graduates, early retirees, and those who may be uninsured.
