US-based Hub International has acquired the assets of Florida’s independent insurance brokerage firm, Smith Watson Parker Insurance.

Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Established in 1934, Smith Watson Parker provides real estate, condo association risk management and commercial insurance solutions.

The acquired business will be included in the Hub International Southeast. The new location for Hub Southeast in Hollywood will serve the local market needs of Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties.

Smith Watson Parker’s management team, including president Andrew Spargo and secretary Larry Vaught Jr. will join Hub Florida, and continue to run operations from Hollywood.

Hub Florida CEO Chris Gardner said: "We are very pleased to add the Smith Watson Parker team to our Hub Southeast region, as well as to Hub’s Eastern Region Real Estate Solutions team.

"They are experts in the condominium and community association space and their service-oriented culture fits in well with our existing operations."
