Hub International, through its subsidiary Hub International Northeast, has purchased the assets of The Flood Group and its affiliate The Flood Group of Long Island.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
New York-based Flood Group provides property and casualty brokerage services in the Tri-state area.
Hub Northeast president and CEO and Hub International US East regional president Marc Cohen said: "The Flood Group’s property and casualty expertise in construction (amongst other industries) and leadership in private client personal lines is well in line with Hub Northeast’s focus.
"They’ve been a part of the local market community for more than 50 years and have extended that reach to more than 3,500 clients in the Tri-state area."
The acquired business will be shifted to Hub Northeast’s Woodbury office and the firm’s president Terrence Flood will join Hub as vice president for commercial lines reporting to Hub Northeast’s Long Island operations president Doug Schenendorf.
In the first week of this month, Hub International also acquired Canada-based Progressive Home Warranty and Pacific Home Warranty (Pacific). Both will provide home warranty insurance programs for construction home builders and homeowners.
