Insurance brokerage firm Hub International has appointed Joseph Torella as new national practice leader of its employee benefits division.
Hub said that Torella will continue his duties as president of the employee benefits division of Hub International Northeast, based in New York, a position he has held since 2009, reporting to Marc Cohen, president and CEO, Hub Northeast.
As national practice leader, Torella will focus on providing leadership and implementing strategic initiatives across Hub’s market presence in the US and Canada.
He will bring 24 years of experience with all facets of employee benefits to the new role, having worked on both the carrier and consulting sides of the industry, in addition to his brokerage experience.
Torella will work with Hub’s employee benefits team to develop new resources and delivery platforms to enhance client communications and value-added services.
He will be also responsible for advising and informing clients regarding the evolving health care landscape in the US.
