Chicago-based insurance brokerage firm Hub International has acquired the assets of Washington–based insurance brokerage, Associated Independent Agencies (AIA) allowing Hub to expand its geographic footprint into eastern Washington.
Further details on the deal remain undisclosed.
As part of the acquisition, AIA operation will become part of Hub International Mountain States Limited (Hub Mountain). Tom Lees, chairman, Mike Rydbom, president, and Les Ruhs, secretary, will join Hub.
Lees will serve as a member of Hub Mountain’s executive committee reporting to Tim Barnes, President, Hub Mountain.
AIA, founded in 1985 has 14 additional locations throughout the region of US offering personal, commercial and employee benefits solutions. The firm serves the insurance and risk management needs of small businesses, including the crop industry.
