Hiscox, an international specialist insurer, has appointed Michael Gould to the role of COO, effective June 9, 2008.
Mr Gould will be responsible for operations, IT and property services across the group. He will report to Bronek Masojada, CEO of Hiscox.
Mr Gould joins Hiscox after five years at Aon where he was most recently the COO for the business’s corporate division. Prior to Aon, he worked at American Express for 14 years in a variety of operations, IT, marketing and product development roles.
Mr Masojada said: Michael’s understanding of customer experience as it relates to premium consumer and corporate services combined with his leadership skills and knowledge of the insurance industry is the right mix for this role.
