Hiscox, a Bermuda-based insurer, has launched a new web application called Hiscox Global Insight, which assists London market brokers by providing news, views and practical advice.
Updating people in the market on Hiscox news and accessible through a browser without downloading, the new application follows a magazine format and each edition will offer an insight into a specific subject, starting with terrorism.
In addition, the app allows offline reading, intuitive navigation, and automatic updates, while its features include animation and interactive content, as well as the ability to comment on articles, driving discussion online.
Optimised for retina displays, the app is also integrated with Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Hiscox London market chief underwriting officer Paul Lawrence said, "Our underwriters and broker partners share insight regularly, but the Hiscox Global Insight tool gives us the ability to share with a wider audience."
