Hilb Rogal & Hobbs, an insurance and risk management intermediary, has appointed Peter Gruenberg to the position of national director of employee benefits, effective immediately.
Mr Gruenberg has been with Hilb Rogal & Hobbs (HRH) since his former company, Banc of America Corporate Insurance Agency (BACIA) was acquired by HRH in late 2007. Prior to the acquisition, he led BACIA’s employee benefits private sector practice division.
Since the transition, Mr Gruenberg was appointed employee benefit regional practice leader for HRH’s metro northeast region and a member of the national employee benefits team. He will continue to work in his regional role, along with developing and carrying out the strategic initiatives identified as critical to the growth of the practice in his national responsibilities.
A certified employee benefit specialist, Mr Gruenberg received his bachelor of arts degree in economics and business from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania.
