California-based Heffernan Insurance Brokers has opened a new office in New York and appointed Joseph Mauro to manage the New York regional operating center.
With more than 25 years of sales management expertise, Mauro will direct recruitment and lead the effort to expand Heffernan’s presence in New York and other key Northeast markets.
Mauro has headed business development efforts for a number East Coast-based insurance firms including Alliant Insurance Group, Bank of America Corporate Insurance Agency, and Frank Crystal & Co.
Heffernan Insurance offers a full line of property, liability, group medical insurance, personal insurance and financial services.
It provides insurance products and services to individuals, as well as to a diverse group of companies within a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing, wine, property owners, nonprofits, and technology.
