HCC Insurance Holdings has hired Jonathan Greenway as president of Avemco Insurance Company, effective immediately, in a move to enhance its support for general aviation safety.
Prior to Avemco, Greenway, an aircraft owner as well as active flight instructor, served as captain and check airman with American Airlines.
Greenway also worked as the director of Safety for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) at Air Safety Institute.
HCC Insurance Holdings, headquartered in Houston, is a specialty insurance group which has branches across the US, the UK, Spain and Ireland. It has assets of $9.6bn and shareholders’ equity of $3.3bn as of September 30, 2011.
