Hartford Financial Services Group said that it has been selected to provide group life, long-term disability, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage for the 2,300 employees of the City of Chattanooga.

All eligible Chattanooga government and school employees will be provided with Hartford’s insurance. The long-term disability coverage provides vocational and job placement services, work-related guidance and resources, and emotional, legal and financial help.

According to Hartford, the group life coverages for the City of Chattanooga employees will have funeral planning benefits available at no additional out-of-pocket cost to them. The Life Conversations coverage will provide a package of end-of-life services, including funeral planning and online will preparation services. It also provides employees with travel assistance, including medical assistance and planning services.
