Hartford Financial Services Group, an insurance and wealth management company, has named Andrew Pinkes as acting head of Commercial Markets.

In his new role, Pinkes will report to the company’s chairman, president and CEO Liam McGee. Pinkes joined Hartford in 2003 and began his insurance career with Travelers.

Pinkes, who has nearly 20 years of industry experience, currently serves as executive vice president for consumer and commercial markets claims at Hartford. He is also president of Heritage Holdings, the company’s domestic and international P&C legacy operations.

McGee said that there is a talented and highly experienced leadership team in Commercial Markets and the company selected Andrew for this important role, as he is a strong leader and seasoned general manager.
