The Hartford Financial Services has realigned its life operations into four market groups to serve the evolving needs of its customers around the world.

The company said that this change also positions its insurance and investment businesses to capitalize strategically on growth opportunities in the US and internationally.

John Walters, president and COO of Hartford Life, will continue to oversee the business and its four market groups – individual, employer, institutional, and international.

In addition, Mr Walters will lead a newly combined Hartford Life operations team responsible for technology and services for The Hartford’s distributors and customers in these growing areas.

Mr Walters said: With this new structure in place, we can better align all of our resources – financial, talent, product development and distribution – around our most important assets, our customers. While our structure has changed, our mission and focus remain on helping our customers around the world secure a more prosperous financial future.
