HARRP has applied for a $750,000 Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) Fire Prevention and Safety Grant through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), to further support this program.

Pioneering Technology of Ontario, has announced that the Housing Authorities Risk Retention Pool (HARRP) has endorsed the Safe-T-element for use by its Housing Authority members. HARRP has ventured with Pioneering to offer a bulk rate purchasing coalition which will promote to the members of its pool.

Also, HARRP has applied for a $750,000 Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) Fire Prevention and Safety Grant through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), to further support this program.

Executive Director of HARRP, William Gregory, said: This innovative product provides a level of protection from stove top fires unprecedented from all other products reviewed by HARRP. This fire prevention product pays for itself in the reduction of fire risk, but goes much further in saving Authorities precious funds.”

HARRP is a US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved insurance entity, which is a self-insured liability program that provides property and casualty coverage and administers claims in-house. The total value insured under the program is approximately $5 billion.
