US-based Hardenbergh Insurance Group has purchased New Jersey-based independent agency Meyer Insurance Agency.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Founded in 1957, Meyer Insurance offers commercial and personal insurance and risk management services for customers in the Delaware Valley region.

The agency also provides insurance support services such as contract reviews, claims management, loss control, bonding and modification modeling.

Meyer Insurance Agency president Dave Miller, along with his associates will operate the business from Hardenbergh headquarters office in Marlton of New Jersey under the leadership of Hardenbergh Insurance Group president Rick Hardenbergh.

Rick Hardenbergh said that the firm was attracted to Meyer’s experience in commercial lines coverage, team-based sales approach and how it would strengthen Hardenbergh’s footprint in Greater Philadelphia.

Hardenbergh Insurance, which was established in 1954, provides personal and business lines of insurance. It also offers group and individual benefits services.

With its four offices in South Jersey, the firm offers client service capabilities across the Delaware Valley region.
