Guy Carpenter & Company, a risk and reinsurance specialist, has appointed Chris McKeown as the new president and CEO of North America broking operations, effective May 1, 2010. He will be responsible for the company's treaty business in the US and Canada.

The company has also appointed Andrew Marcell as the new CEO of global practices and head of placement strategy. He will be relocating to London to assume his new responsibilities, which will further enhance the company’s international management team.

Prior to this appointment, Mr McKeown was CEO of the company’s global analytical and specialty practices and held the position of CEO of the Americas broking operations.
