Guardian Life Insurance Company of America has appointed Dong Ahn as new senior vice president to lead group benefits business.

Ahn will play an integral role in continuing Guardian‘s non-medical growth and play a key role in advancing the company’s group insurance strategy.

He will join Guardian with over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, most recently leading Aetna’s group insurance division, where he was responsible for the group insurance division consisting of group life, disability and long term care business.

Prior to that, Ahn held executive positions with Hartford Life Insurance where he was responsible for overall growth and profitability of the group benefits division, developing alternative distribution channels and driving the success of their small business strategy.

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America and its subsidiaries offers life, long-term care, disability income, group dental insurance products as well as 401(k), annuities and other financial products.

The company has over 5,400 employees in the US and a network of over 3,000 financial representatives in more than 80 agencies nationwide.
