The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America has completed the acquisition of MasterCare DENTS marking its expansion of dental preferred provider organization (PPO) network in the Southwest US.
The current acquisition also reinforces the insurer’s dental network to about more than 79,000 dentists at over 181,000 locations.
Guardian Group Insurance vice president Ray Marra said with dental, access to care is as important as plan design and what differentiates good dental coverage is the availability of quality network dentists.
"This latest acquisition of MasterCare DENTS is further proof of Guardian’s commitment to growing our network and helping our customers control costs and maintain their health," Marra said.
Guardian has also acquired Willamette Dental located in the Northwest US, Preferred Dental in Nevada.
