Great American Insurance Group has announced that its environmental division is open for business and accepting submissions. At the new division the underwriting staff and claims group will offer a portfolio of environmental products addressing a wide spectrum of risks.

Great American’s environmental claims handling unit and nationwide network of emergency response firms, remediation contractors and environmental attorneys provide the technical expertise and responsiveness required for comprehensive risk management.

Great American has reported that the environmental division has added many industry veterans to its new operation. Mark Vuono and Doug Stepenosky, both divisional senior vice presidents, have announced the appointment of Shelli Hamilton as divisional vice president of underwriting, Bob Burkholder as divisional vice presidents of claims; Patrick Mahoney and Kirk Davenport as divisional assistant vice presidents of underwriting; Jeff Lloyd as divisional assistant vice president of operations; and Kelly Gubanich as associate underwriter.
