Cincinnati-based Great American Insurance's Environmental Division has opened a new regional office in New York in a bid to expand specialty environmental business and service to its customers.

According to Great American, the New York City office will be headed by Shelli Hamilton, who previously served as a senior underwriter in the division.

The new office will provide local expertise and high caliber service to brokers and clients throughout the New York City region.
The Environmental unit also has offices in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania and San Francisco.

The environmental unit sells insurance products like environmental liability insurance, indoor air quality and mold liability insurance, or contracting services environmental liability insurance.

Great American Insurance, founded in 1872, is engaged primarily in property and casualty insurance, focusing on specialty commercial products for businesses, sale of traditional fixed and indexed annuities as well as supplemental insurance products such as Medicare supplement.
