Ohio-based Great American Insurance has introduced a new coverage option for abuse or molestation with expenses covered outside of limits.
The newly launched abuse or molestation coverage option will pay specified claim and legal defence costs outside the policy limits, which often requires very costly specialised legal counsel and expert opinions.
The option offers a broad definition of abuse that includes any actual, threatened or alleged conduct, error or omission, in addition to sexual and non-sexual behaviours.
The coverage option will be offered by the company’s Specialty Human Services unit through its independent insurance agents to most social service organisations in states where the new abuse or molestation coverage form is filed.
