Illinois governor Pat Quinn has appointed Andrew Boron as an executive cabinet director of the state's Department of Insurance (DOI) and will continue to create jobs, economic development and increasing efficiency and accountability in all areas of state government.
Governor Quinn said that Andrew Boron will enhance the essential regulatory and consumer protections for the DOI with his range of DOI experience.
Prior to this appointment, Boron worked as vice president and counsel at the ACE Group, served as primary liaison to the Departments of Insurance in nine states, including Illinois and has experience in insurance, governmental and private sector.
Additionally, Boron, who began his career at CNA Financial, also worked as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Illinois Toll Highway Authority between 2009 and 2010.
