To gain certification, a TRUSTe representative reviews a website’s privacy notices and advises where more clarification is required, in regards to the use of a customer’s personal information. TRUSTe also serves as a third-party monitoring service to ensure that the terms of GoHealthInsurance’s privacy policy is fulfilled.
The company claims that GoHealthInsurance.com provides free health insurance quotes to customers where they can compare plans and rates, and apply for coverage online. The service also connects a shopper with a licensed local agent for one-on-one benefits consultations, which requires the submission of basic contact information.
