Kofax (KFX), a leading provider of smart process applications to simplify and transform the First Mile of customer engagement, announced that a leading global health insurance and services company will deploy Kofax Mobile Capture Platform to enable insureds to submit medical claims via mobile devices.

The solution is expected to streamline the claim submission and approval process for both insureds and the insurer, transforming a historically time consuming, error prone process into one that is quicker, easier and more accurate.

The company is a major provider of employer offered medical and dental insurance. Its mobile initiative will allow insureds to connect with the insurer whenever, wherever and however they prefer.

Kofax Mobile Capture Platform will enable insureds to simply take pictures of healthcare provider invoices and supporting documents using the camera in their mobile device, and submit them directly into the insurer’s claims processing system.

"Today’s insurance customers expect frictionless transactions. This insurer understands that enabling an insured to manually enter information is not enough. To be really useful, a mobile app must allow the user to easily act," said Drew Hyatt, Senior Vice President of Mobile Applications at Kofax.

Kofax Mobile Capture Platform enables organizations to create dynamic mobile applications that integrate capture and process management capabilities to streamline information intensive customer interactions and extend self-service capabilities.
