Giles Insurance Brokers, a UK based insurance broker, has acquired the business and team of Belfast-based firm CJ Higgins and Co.
Higgins said that the deal will significantly strengthen Giles presence in Northern Ireland. Following acquistition, the combined business will operate from the Higgins existing offices premises in the Titanic Quarter of the city and trade under the name of Giles Insurance Brokers.
Giles chief executive Chris Giles said that the company sees acquiring the CJ Higgins Insurance business as an excellent opportunity to solidify the presence in this key geographical location and develop the existing business further for the benefit of current and future clients.
CJ Higgins Insurance chairman and founder Con Higgins said that under the ownership of Giles, Higgins believe the business, and the products and services it currently provide, can be greatly enhanced for the benefit of employees and clients.
"Giles is a customer focused organisation and a recognised leader in the industry, and we believe that this move would help us to will secure a firm footing for the future," Higgins said.
Higgins will stay with Giles as a consultant and Gavin takes up an appointment as managing director of H3 Health Insurance provider, our joint venture with 352 Healthcare.
