General Reinsurance has named Pietro Toffanello as property/casualty treaty manager of the Asia Pacific region and managing director of General Reinsurance Australia.
Toffanello, who has been with Gen Re since 1994, will move to Sydney from London, where he currently holds the position of property facultative regional manager for the EMEA Region.
In addition, the company has named Martin Leitch as property facultative regional manager for the EMEA.
Leitch joined Gen Re in 2000 and has held various management positions in London and South Africa.
Both appointments are effective 1 January 2012.
