GE Money Home Lending has selected Heath Lambert Group, an independent insurance broker and employee benefits consultancy, to offer its customers a new home insurance product.

At the end of 2007, GE Money Home Lending undertook a tender exercise to select a new partner for its home insurance services. It enlisted the services of Nnable, an insurance consultancy, to manage the tender process and support the selection of a supplier to provide outsourcing service with experience of major portfolio transfer.

As a result of its experience in the mortgage lending market, coupled with its response to tender, Heath Lambert won the business. In January 2008, a target of three months was agreed to launch a new business service and commence the migration of existing policies, and this was achieved.

Duncan Berry, director of secured lending at GE Money Home Lending, said: Following several acquisitions, we needed to find a new solution which would work effectively both for our customers and our own business needs. I am confident that in Heath Lambert, we have found both the right product and an expert partner.

Working with Heath Lambert, we have been able to enhance our home insurance proposition and deliver the kind of service levels our customers expect. The scheme, which was officially launched last month, is available not only to our customers but also to our staff.
