Fortis, a provider of banking and insurance services to personal, business and institutional customers, has appointed Kristof Macours as company secretary.
Mr Macours succeeds Ingrid Loos. Ms Loos has held this position since January 1, 2006 and has decided to pursue her career outside of Fortis.
Mr Macours joined Fortis in 1991, starting at Generale de Banque, and has held various positions in the legal department, at banking and corporate level. Mr Macours is a member of the permanent working group of the Belgian Corporate Governance Committee.
