Everest Re’s Vice Chairman, Chief Underwriting Officer Retires

Previously, Mr. Gallagher served as president and chief operating officer of Everest Re Group since 1997

Everest Re Group, a Bermuda holding company, has announced the retirement of Thomas Gallagher, vice chairman and chief underwriting officer (CUO), effective October 9, 2009.

Prior to being named vice chairman and CUO in 2008, Mr. Gallagher served as president and chief operating officer of Everest Re Group since 1997.

Mr. Gallagher said: “I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to help build the Company into the well balanced, diversified industry leader it is today. Everest and the entire management team are well-positioned for the future.”
