Everest Re names two new members to its Board of Directors

Everest Re has appointed John Amore and Dominic Addesso as new members to its Board of Directors, effective from 19 September 2012.

Amore earlier held service with Zurich Financial Services’ General Insurance division as chief executive officer of the entire US region and also served as a member of Zurich’s Group Executive Committee, until 2010.

Amore also served at Commerce and Industry Insurance, a member of American International Group (AIG), as vice chairman prior to joining Zurich in 1992.

Currently, Amore serves as Zurich Financial Services consultant and is a delegate of the Board for the Geneva Association.

In this new role, Addesso, who currently serves as Everest Re president, will succeed Taranto as chief executive officer of the Company following his retirement at the end of 2013.

Addesso served at Munich Re America as president of Regional Clients division and was responsible for operational and underwriting management, prior to his joining Everest in 2009.
