Pennsylvania-based Erie Indemnity (ERIE) has appointed Robert Ingram III as its new executive vice president and chief information officer (CIO), effective from 13 August 2012.
Ingram, in his new role will oversee the ongoing design of Erie’s IT strategy and further development of its technology platform.
Prior to joining ERIE, Ingram worked for The Hartford Financial Services since August 2009, and served as senior vice president and CIO for commercial lines, as well as CIO for Hartford’s Investment Management and Enterprise Risk Management.
He also worked as CIO at Safeco and at USAA’s property and casualty company.
ERIE will also provide Ingram with certain stock-based awards, including a grant of 5,600 restricted stock units, as an inducement material to his acceptance of employment with the company.
Erie Indemnity serves as the attorney-in-fact for the subscribers at Erie Insurance Exchange and also manages other companies of the Erie Insurance Group.
