Endurance Specialty Holdings, a provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, has appointed Arturo Falcon as the new head of its reinsurance operations for Latin America.
In his new role, Falcon will be based in the new Endurance reinsurance office in Miami, Florida.
Previously, Falcon had held a number of senior roles in underwriting, actuarial and claims operations, most recently managing Latin and South American offices for Odyssey America Reinsurance Company.
Prior to that, Falcon was vice president of American Reinsurance Company and general manager of American Reinsurance Company (Chile), responsible for South American technical and operational support from 1988 to 1997.
Endurance Specialty Holdings president William Jewett said that Falcon’s experience in the Latin American market and his relationships with ceding companies and brokers in the region complement Latin America initiatives of the company’s Bermuda-based international catastrophe reinsurance team, as well as specialty knowledge of its product specialists in the US and Bermuda.
