Endurance Specialty Holdings, a Bermuda-based specialty provider of P&C insurance and reinsurance, has appointed Thomas Asquino as the new chief underwriting officer, P&C of Endurance Worldwide Reinsurance.

Previously, Mr Asquino has held various reinsurance management positions with responsibility for property and casualty underwriting operations, most recently serving as chief property officer of Endurance Worldwide Reinsurance. He is based in Endurance Reinsurance of America’s New York office.

Mr Asquino had joined Endurance in May of 2003 in treaty property department of Endurance Reinsurance of America. Prior to that, he served in international arena, managing a mix of multi-line pro rata, per risk excess and catastrophe business for AFIA Reinsurance.

He also worked in senior underwriting and management positions responsible for casualty and property reinsurance underwriting at Continental Reinsurance, Sorema North America Reinsurance Company, and Folksamerica Reinsurance Company.
