Bermuda-based property and casualty insurance and reinsurance provider Endurance Specialty has appointed Mark Boland as the head of its US wholesale primary casualty insurance operations.
Based in New York, Boland will report to Steven Dresner, head of Endurance’s Specialty Operations for US Wholesale Insurance.
Since 2007, Boland has been working for Endurance and built a property and casualty portfolio focused on small to mid-size complex risks, through a network of surplus lines agents.
Prior to Endurance, Boland served as president of Coventry Managers, a commercial property and casualty carrier. He also served as president and CEO of Hermitage Insurance from 1996 through 2005.
Endurance Specialty Holdings president and head of US Insurance Wholesale Operations Glenn Yanoff said to build presence in the US wholesale market, the firm’s priority will be to expand the primary casualty book through new producer relationships and broader geographic coverage.
