To drive unnecessary cost out of the industry while continuing to improve service to customers

ediTRACK and CGI have joined forces to promote the ediTRACK Claims Fulfilment Solution to the insurance market. The company claimed that ediTRACK is a pay-per-use, web-hosted application that manages household, commercial property, private and commercial motor, public liability and personal injury lines of business.

Reportedly, the insurance industry is yet to take full advantage of online services to streamline the management of claims fulfilment. Most claims instructions are still issued to supplier partners through fax and email requiring re-keying of data, causing delays in claims handling and contributing to ‘friction costs’.

With ediTRACK Claims Fulfilment instructions can be passed electronically straight into the suppliers’ internal systems without any data re-keying issues. Operators will be able to notify policy holders of the supplier’s case reference whilst still on the call with the claims handler, the company said.

Manjit Rana of ediTRACK, said: “Claims Fulfilment brings a completely new approach to communications between insurer and supplier, allowing an insurer to deliver a truly pro-active claims experience unparalleled in the market.”

Liz Latter, director, head of insurance practice at CG, said: In these tough times, CGI has seen clients’ priorities shift towards greater cost control. It is precisely this type of solution that is able to drive unnecessary cost out of the industry whilst continuing to improve service to customers.”
