Employee benefits-only agency Digital Insurance has purchased North Carolina based insurance brokerage and consulting agency, Benefit Services & Design (BSD), for an undisclosed sum.
Based on the terms of the agreement, the acquired entity has been integrated with Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA) Raleigh office, in order to enhance employee benefits services and resources for clients.
BSD Principals Taylor Uzzell and Tom Snell, together with their six-member team have joined DBA and will continue to operate from their offices in Sanford, Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina.
Expressing his views on the acquisition, DBA/Raleigh managing partner, CEBS Wally Dawson said, "Benefit Services & Design is an excellent addition to our team and will strengthen our efforts throughout the Carolinas."
Upon completion of the deal, direct policy holder will get access to a customer advocate center, where knowledgeable and licensed Digital representatives answer benefits and policy questions.
Established in 1982, Benefit Services & Design offers employee benefits to over 250 clients, from small businesses to national companies, working in various industries including healthcare, trucking, furniture and manufacturing.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Fidelity National Financial (FNF), Digital Insurance specializes in medical insurance for small businesses and mid-sized companies.
