Digital Insurance, an employee benefits-only agency, and Heffernan Insurance Brokers have entered into a long-term strategic partnership.
Under the new partnership agreement, Heffernan will serve as Digital’s exclusive small group benefits partner in all markets.
Heffernan can leverage Digital Benefits Marketplace, a private insurance exchange, which allows small employers to control benefits expenses using fixed costs.
Heffernan Benefit Advisors operations director Brian Conner said, "Our deeper collaboration will focus on small business clients positioned to benefit from additional solutions and services. We are particularly excited to offer small business clients a private medical exchange option in 2014."
Digital Insurance executive vice president and chief marketing officer Mike Sullivan added, "This expanded partnership allows Heffernan to retain the Property & Casualty portion of their business, while adding the expertise needed to grow the benefits sector, providing flexible solutions to any size client."
