Delta Lloyd Group, the Dutch subsidiary of UK insurance giant Aviva, has completed the acquisition of German general insurer Erasmus Group, following receipt of the required regulatory, works councils and relevant competition authority approvals.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Delta Lloyd’s position in the Dutch insurance market. Erasmus’ general insurance activities complement those of Delta Lloyd’s, as well as bringing additional life activities to the portfolio of Delta Lloyd Life Insurance.
The acquisition is effective retrospectively from January 1, 2007.
