Crump Group has appointed Scot Parnell to executive team as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He succeeds Dave Obenauer, who became president of the company's property & casualty insurance services division in January 2010.

Mr Parnell has most recently served as chief financial officer of The Student Loan, in Stamford, CT, since 2008. He served at various financial positions at STU and Citi since joining in 2001. Prior to Citi, Mr Parnell worked at MetLife and Browning Ferris Industries, in NY, having begun his career with Arthur Andersen in Houston, TX.

John Howard, chief executive officer of Crump, said: “Adding a person of Scot’s caliber strengthens our executive team. His significant financial knowledge, background and mindset as CFO of a prominent publicly-traded company are particularly well-suited to lead us through our next phase of growth.
