Crawford & Company, a provider of claims management solutions, has appointed Alice Edwards as the new senior vice president of global technical services (GTS) business development in its US property and casualty unit.

In her new position, Ms Edwards will be responsible for growth of new business development in GTS with a focus on the London market, brokers and program business. She has also been named as an executive general adjuster, where she will manage and handle select GTS losses.

According to Crawford, Ms Edwards will be based in Atlanta and will report to Martin Fagan, senior vice president of marketing and business development for US property and casualty at Crawford, and will also work with the GTS team in the Americas.

Previously, Ms Edwards worked at Lloyd’s of London before moving to Jakarta, Indonesia in 1990, where she worked for six years in Asian insurance market. She joined Willis HRH’s complex property practice as a technical expert in 2002.

Mr Fagan said: “Alice brings more than 20 years of international property, casualty and business interruption experience to Crawford. No other independent adjusting firm can match our GTS offering, and we look forward to putting Alice’s superior business development and complex loss management skills to work for our company and our clients.”
